Eligibility: Contest is open to all individuals, age 21 and under, who are currently,
or have previously been in foster care, and those who have been adopted. Contestants
must be United States residents.
Deadline: All submissions must be postmarked by March 15, 2010.
Recognition: One grand prize winner, 1st, 2nd and honorable mention will be chosen.
The grand prize winner will receive a pizza party for five people, and be featured
on the Children Awaiting Parents website and spring issue of the Adoption Link Newsletter.
Judging: Entries will be judged by a panel of judges, presentation, originality,
creativity, and relevance to and incorporation of the Friendship Contest topic.
Other Rules: Submission of an entry constitutes consent to use the entrant's first name & last initial, including posting on the Children Awaiting Parents website, without compensation. All essays, poems or artwork become property of CAP and will not be returned. Only one entry per person will be accepted. Entries must be composed of original, authentic, unpublished material and must be the sole property of the entrant, not previously submitted in any other contest. CAP is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, incomplete, or postage-due entries. Contest void where prohibited or restricted by law.
